Asparagus

& Blueberries

Asparagus Simplified 

Steam, boil, grill or roast in recipe of your choice

boil

1. Bring water to a boil

2. Add desired amount of asparagus

3. Cook asparagus for 2 minutes

4. Check with fork to see if the asparagus is slightly tender

5. Drain off water and season as desired

stovetop

1. Heat pan with 1 tablespoon oil olive

2. Place desired amount of asparagus in pan

3. Sauté for approx. 4 minutes, stirring as necessary to get even grill marks

4. Season as desired

oven

1. Pre-heat oven to 400F

2. In a bowl mix asparagus with 2 tbsp of olive oil

3. Place on baking sheet

4. Cook in oven for 30 minutes occasionally turning the asparagus

 

Note: It is easy to overcook asparagus; be careful!

Ingredients

For 4 people

  • 2 pound(s) asparagus
  • 2 pound(s) asparagus
  • 2 pound(s) asparagus
  • 2 pound(s) asparagus
  • 2 pound(s) asparagus

Directions

Cut off bases on Asparagus, boil remaining spears for 10 minutes in boiling water.

Cover grill pan with aluminium foil, lie Asparagus stalks on foil – season with pepper.

Cover with slices of brie, season, then cover brie with diced cheddar, season and cover cheddar with grated mozzarella, season again.

Put under HOT grill for a few minutes until cheese is beginning to brown – serve hot.
